Profiler: Getting Started

Estimated 2 Hours to Complete Profile and Activities

 

1.  Using the instructions provided, create a personal Profiler account under your district’s id name.  Your district ID will be provided to you by your training facilitator.

 

District ID:  ___________   User ID:  _________          Password: _______

 

If you lose this password, you can retrieve it by logging onto the Profiler web site at http://profiler.hprtec.org and clicking on the “Help” link from the menu.  Then, click on the link titled “What do I do if I’ve forgotten my PIN” which is located under the Accessing Profiler title.  Enter the requested information and Profiler will e-mail you your password.

 

2.  Take the Power of 2 Teacher survey.

 

3.  Submit your survey and study the results on your personal badge.

 

4.  Identify three areas where you’d like to improve. 

 

5.  Locate two experts within your training group in those areas.

 

6.  Contact them via e-mail and set a time to go to the forum and discuss these areas or to discuss them in person. 

 

7.  Write a short reflection on how beneficial this was to you and post it to your online portfolio.

 

8.  Re-visit the Profiler survey throughout the year and retake the survey.  Compare your initial results to the results as you progress through the Online Training Modules, Learning Objects, and activities.
