2. The Online Training is broken into several
parts.
a. First, are the Online Training Modules
themselves. There are five of these
online training modules: Program
Development, Effective Teaching, Collaborative Consultation, Co-Teaching, and
Teams.
b.
Within these online modules, there are several Learning
Objects. These are the links that are
found below each of the
modules. Some examples of these are Readiness for
Inclusion
and Time for Collaboration.
c.
In the training
manual, there are also activities that are not part of the learning objects,
but that expand on the ideas present in the module. These are referred to as Learning Activities.
3. When completing a Learning Object, follow the
directions within the Learning Object.
Some Learning Objects begin with presentations and have activities at
the end and some consist of only activities.
Most of the Learning Object can be saved to the online portfolio. If an object can be saved to the portfolio,
it will have a button asking if you would like to save it at the end of the
activity. If there is no button, then
that particular Learning Object cannot be saved to the online portfolio.
a. Please note that you cannot save partially
completed Learning Objects and that there is not way to edit or revise the
Learning Object once it is in the portfolio.
b. For longer Learning Objects, a downloadable form
has been created to address this issue.
Some
modules have a worksheet that can be downloaded to your hard drive. The
worksheet is to assist you in completing and editing the content of a module to
your satisfaction before saving it to your portfolio. In some of the modules,
you will see a link that will look similar to figure 1. Clicking on the link
will open the module in Microsoft Word.

Figure 1. A link that allows you to download a module in Word format.
After you have completed the worksheet, you will need to transfer that
information (either copy/paste or enter) to the actual module. You also can
save the worksheet to your portfolio folder.
c. You may upload documents as well to your online
portfolio.
i.
First, enter your
online portfolio.
ii.
Click on the link
titled “Additional
Submissions to my Portfolio”.
iii.

iv.

upload. Once you locate the file, you
can create a name for it in the next box.

v.
Once the file has been successfully uploaded, you may return to your
portfolio by clicking the link at the top of the page.
vi.
Please note that you may delete files from your online portfolio after
the facilitator has reviewed them. This
will keep your online portfolio from becoming too full.
d. Your facilitator and/or anyone that you share your
portfolio with can post comments to your portfolio. They may post general comments, relating to the portfolio
overall, or they can submit specific comments that relate to the individual
Learning Objects.
i.
You may view these
comments by clicking on the link “View comments”.

one of your Learning Objects to someone via e-mail.
